GTX90: a new 'sport utility' yacht from Pershing
The yacht was designed by Ferretti Group's engineering department in collaboration with Vallicelli Design Studio. Construction of the first Pershing GTX90 hull is already underway at the Ferretti Group Plug and Mould facility in Forlì.
The project is built around the concept of expanded living space. This is especially evident on the sportbridge, which spans 33 m²—43% more than the average for yachts of comparable size. Particular attention has been paid to the layout, with a focus on maximizing comfort and the overall enjoyment of time on board.
The exterior styling features the signature Pershing Anniversary Silver hull color and follows the design language of the entire GTX line. Distinctive elements include a nearly vertical bow and a continuous, slightly convex side line, which give the silhouette a sleek, light appearance while emphasizing the yacht's sporty character.
The aft section of the main deck is equipped with two fold-down side terraces. When opened, the cockpit area expands to 37 m². At the stern, there is a garage designed to accommodate a tender and a jet ski.
Access to the living area on the main deck is through a wide five-panel door (one fixed section and four opening panels), creating a seamless open space that blends interior and exterior. The saloon takes full advantage of the wide-body superstructure. To port aft, there is an open galley with an elegant bar counter, and opposite it, a dining table for eight guests. An additional day head can be installed upon request.
Amidships is a lounge area featuring a large L-shaped sofa, which can be replaced with two separate sofas if desired. The helm station is located forward on the main deck and is fitted with three comfortable seats, as well as doors on both sides providing access to the side walkways.
On the lower deck, the Pershing GTX90 offers four cabins with four en-suite bathrooms. The optimized layout makes the most efficient use of the available space. The full-beam owner's cabin is located amidships, while the VIP cabin is situated forward. The accommodation is completed by two guest cabins: one with a double bed and another with twin beds.
The sportbridge is divided into three areas: a sunbathing area aft, a dining area amidships under a rigid hardtop, and the helm station forward.
The Pershing GTX90 is powered by two MAN V12 2200 engines, each producing 2,200 hp, paired with two Castoldi TurboDrive 600 HCT waterjet propulsion units. Preliminary performance figures indicate a top speed of 35 knots and a cruising speed of 30 knots. Two Seakeeper NG18 gyroscopic stabilizers can be installed as an option. The vessel is being built to CE Class A certification.
