Top 10 sailing yachts at Palma International Boat Show 2026

The annual Palma International Boat Show 2026 has opened in Palma de Mallorca. It runs from April 29 to May 2. Here are ten of the largest sailing yachts on display. Two of them are world premieres.

WORLD PREMIERE: SIMENA

Ares Yachts 62 m | 2026

The largest yacht at this year's show — the new flagship of Turkish shipyard Ares Yachts. Simena arrived in Mallorca just weeks after construction was completed. This two-masted yacht embodies the spirit of the "golden age of yachting" and vaguely resembles a clipper. Her exterior was designed by Taka Yacht Design. The interiors by Design Unlimited feature "clean, relaxed geometry" and a palette of neutral tones combined with walnut wood. The yacht is offered for sale.

OHANA

Fitzroy Yachts 49.7 m | 2012

Built in New Zealand to a design by Dubois, Ohana was conceived as a fast cruising yacht capable of competing in regattas, and her trophy-rich racing history confirms this. This fully custom aluminum sloop combines racing hull lines with functional layout and numerous comfort features. Of particular note is the "floating" glass staircase.

ANDROMEDA LA DEA

Perini Navi 47 m | 1990

Perini Navi's Andromeda La Dea returns to the market after an extensive three-year, high-budget refit. The work involved all systems and machinery, which were either replaced or overhauled. Outdoor spaces and the interior, redesigned by Guillaume Rolland of Liaigre in a fresh contemporary aesthetic, have also been renewed. The yacht's refit project is nominated for the World Superyacht Awards 2026, with winners to be announced this weekend at a gala reception in Venice.

IMAGINE D

Alloy Yachts 44.2 m | 2010

Another solid creation from New Zealand shipbuilding, on display in Palma this week, is the 44.2-metre Imagine. This sailing yacht was built for a highly experienced owner who tasked Dubois with creating a vessel equally at home in the warm waters of the Mediterranean and in remote regions with challenging navigation conditions. The yacht's interiors feature white oak panels, alpaca carpets, and fabrics by Loro Piana. This yacht has always been privately owned, never chartered, and underwent a refit last year.

CANOVA

Baltic Yachts 43.3 m | 2019

Award-winning superyacht Canova was designed as a "game-changing" ocean cruiser. Featuring innovative technology (including a diesel-electric propulsion system and a dynamic stabilisation system with underwater foil), thoughtful layout, and ease of handling, this carbon fibre yacht was designed by Micheletti+Partners and Farr Yacht Design. In 2020, Canova received the "Sailing Yacht of the Year" award at the World Superyacht Awards.

KOKOTEA

Alloy Yachts 40 m | 2000

Another Dubois-designed sloop at PIBS this year is Kokotea. This sailing yacht combines excellent sailing performance with a comfortable interior by RWD. She accommodates eight guests in four cabins, including a full-beam master suite with a private office. Extensive refit work, including a complete hull repaint, was carried out in 2021–2023.

ANTARES

Royal Huisman 40 m | 2005

Dutch shipyard Royal Huisman built Antares in 2005 to a design by Bill Dixon, with an Art Deco interior from the 1930s by Rhoades Young Design. The standout feature is the deckhouse — with windows opening onto the cockpit — adorned with teak wood panels, comfortable seating, and a convertible dining table for 12. Two spacious cockpits offer an ideal spot for relaxation under sail. The yacht underwent an extensive refit last year.

4K

Abeking & Rasmussen 39.6 m | 2002

Last year, the aluminum sailing yacht 4K underwent a complete interior redesign — the original interior by Winch Design was replaced with a more contemporary look by Nauta Design. Extensive teak decks and renewed, light and airy interiors provide comfortable cruising conditions. The yacht accommodates nine guests in four cabins, including an aft master suite with direct private access to the deck.

CERVO

Vitters 39 m | 2009

Built from carbon fibre to a design by Tripp Design Naval Architecture, Cervo was conceived by the Dutch shipyard as a high-performance cruising sloop, designed for regattas and long-distance sailing. She has undergone several refits, the most significant being an 18-month rebuild at Pendennis Shipyard in 2017-2018, during which the interior by Nauta Design was remodeled and deck spaces reconfigured. Further work was completed in 2022, and the yacht passed its 15-year survey in 2024.

WORLD PREMIERE: Y7

Y Yachts 22 m | 2026

The revamped sailing yacht Y7 from Y Yachts debuts in Palma. The redesigned Y7 was developed in collaboration with naval architecture firm Judel/Vrolijk & Co. A wider hull provides enhanced stability and high sailing efficiency, especially in moderate winds. The mast has been moved further aft to increase sail efficiency and provide a sail area of 305 square metres when sailing upwind. The lightweight carbon fibre sandwich panel hull construction keeps displacement at 31.5 tonnes. According to the shipyard, the new Y7 is highly responsive and can achieve speeds equal to wind speed in breezes as light as five knots, while remaining easy to handle even with a small crew.
