The launch of Feadship Project 826

Feadship has launched the 80 m Project 826 superyacht, designed by renowned designer of high-profile sailing yachts Malcolm McKeon.
Feadship has unveiled Project 826, an 80-metre superyacht that marks a radical departure from traditional motor yacht aesthetics. With a sharp plumb bow, strikingly low freeboard, and a clean, flat foredeck, the yacht’s profile draws clear inspiration from high-performance sailing vessels – a deliberate choice given that the exterior design was led by renowned British sailing yacht specialist Malcolm McKeon.

The hull’s graphite colour is complemented by a silver superstructure that appears to float above full-height glass walls. Shiny black accent panels, warm teak decks, and vertical teak strips create a distinctive signature. The yacht’s gentle window curves and sculpted overhangs resolve into generous al fresco social areas aft, with a waterfall teak stern as the focal point. Walkaround main and upper decks ensure a seamless flow fore and aft.
One of the standout interior features is the main deck poolside lounge centred around a 6.37-metre swimming pool. The pool’s curved glass bottom allows light to filter down to the beach club below, while steps descending through the pool area create a dramatic visual and physical link between decks.

Project 826 boasts the largest beach club ever built by Feadship – an impressive 165 square metres. The two-level layout includes a recessed lounge with bar and, a few steps up, massive teak hatches that fold outward to form terraces just 700 mm above the sea. The 180-degree view is almost uninterrupted thanks to an innovative engineering solution: the powerful hatch-opening gears are housed inside the doors themselves, eliminating bulky hull structures and stern pillars.

The beach club environment is described as an “island oasis", with dappled light filtering through the pool above. Adjacent spaces include a watersports area, fitness zones (cardio, weights, yoga, and cable machine), and a massage room. Folding hull doors on both sides open to create additional terraces for sport and relaxation. The contemporary yet warm interior décor is by Milan-based studio m2atelier.

Forward on the main deck, the bridge, captain’s cabin, and ship’s office enjoy a full view of a touch-and-go helipad that doubles as a pickleball court with removable netting. The yacht’s clean profile is further enhanced by Starlink flat receivers, eliminating bulky satellite domes from the mast. The sundeck features a minimal hardtop with wall-like supports finished in metallic silver paint, housing a circular bar and seating.

Propulsion is diesel direct to shafts and propellers, with three Scania gensets in a soundproofed room for auxiliary power. Two large tenders are stored in a forward garage.

“This yacht represents a new design chapter in the Feadship story,” said Feadship Director Jan-Bart Verkuyl. “Achieving a profile this clean whilst accommodating the technical complexity of the stern architecture and the scale of the beach club openings demanded a high level of engineering innovation. McKeon’s brief challenged us in the best possible way, and the response from the market suggests we have delivered something the industry has been waiting for.”
