Hi-Tech Cruiser

Like a piñata filled with treats, the new SLX 360 OB is packed with advanced technologies and systems, all designed for one purpose — to help you enjoy unforgettable, almost magical weekends on the water.

There are boats that simply look good. There are boats that perform well. And then there is a category that many aspire to, but few truly reach — boats that redefine the very feeling of being on the water. Sea Ray confidently places the new SLX 360 Outboard in this category, unveiling it not just anywhere, but at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas — the world’s premier showcase of the future. The message is clear: a modern boat is no longer just about hull and engines but about a high-tech environment where every system is designed to elevate the owner’s experience.

Facing the wind, sun, and spray while seated in the bow cockpit at speed, feeling as though you’re flying just above the water. Riding an inflatable tube in the wake, laughing as you’re tossed into the water on a turn. Relaxing on the swim platform, watching fish dart below and seaweed sway with the current. Hosting friends onboard, pouring chilled mojitos while your favourite music plays through a premium sound system. Casting a line in a hidden bay at dawn, where only rising fish disturb the mirror-like surface. Falling asleep in a cosy cabin to the gentle sound of water against the hull — or right in the cockpit under the stars. Heading out for a weekend cruise along a river or coastline. This is the life you’ve imagined – and one the SLX 360 OB is ready to deliver.

Elegant, refined lines. Nothing excessive. Generous dimensions, a solid hardtop on robust supports, striking ambient lighting, distinctive upholstery stitching, a large windscreen, and a fold-down platform on the starboard side. With it, access to the water remains effortless despite the presence of three large outboards at the stern. You can even approach a sandy beach and step gracefully into shallow water without climbing over high sides. The platform allows you to use the shower without splashing the aft sunbed. It also makes handling water toys far easier. And don’t forget to add the Scanstrut Atmos compressor — it will save valuable time for fun.

At the stern, a wide sunpad with armrests comfortably accommodates three people. It’s perfect for lounging while watching the wake at speed or keeping an eye on friends tubing or wakeboarding. Beneath it are storage compartments for water toys, lines, and fenders.

The ergonomic cockpit is equipped with advanced climate control, ensuring that neither the heat of midday nor the cool of evening will cut your outing short. There’s ample space even for a large group — the boat is certified as a yacht without a strict passenger limit (within reason and local regulations). Under the portside L-shaped seating are spacious storage compartments. On the starboard side, you’ll find a wet bar with a pull-out countertop, Kenyon electric grill, sink, integrated waste bin, and utensil storage — essentially a full outdoor kitchen. For those who love to cook, everything is in place. And if you need more capacity, an optional refrigerator is available.

A table can easily be installed in the cockpit without obstructing movement. Remove it, and there’s enough space to dance. The hardtop, with built-in speakers and skylights, can be complemented by a retractable SureShade awning that extends over the aft sunpad. On the port side, a double passenger seat features a flip-up bolster and electric height adjustment — and it can rotate.

One could describe this boat in detail for hours, but the key point is that the Sea Ray SLX 360 OB feels complete — free of compromises or overlooked details. Take the helm: two ultra-wide Simrad NSX displays create a clean, automotive-style dashboard. Navigation, engine data, lighting, climate, and onboard systems are integrated into a logical, fast, and intuitive ecosystem. Integration with Mercury Marine unlocks advanced features such as joystick control for precise manoeuvring in tight spaces, a bow thruster integrated into the system, autopilot, automatic route planning, and synchronised control of lighting and auxiliary systems. Some functions are also accessible directly from the steering wheel — just like in a car. For instance, you can control the audio without taking your hands off the wheel. And the sound system is exceptional: Fusion Apollo 770, two subwoofers, an 8-channel amplifier, and four audio zones with two speakers each.

In the future, the 360 will also feature the new Simrad AutoCaptain system, enabling fully autonomous docking and manoeuvring in confined spaces — all aimed at making ownership as effortless as possible.

The SLX 360 OB truly reveals itself when you stop thinking about specifications and start living onboard. In the cabin, soft ambient light from large hull windows visually connects the interior with the water outside. Climate control, thoughtful layout, and high-quality materials create the atmosphere of a private lounge rather than a compromise sleeping space. There’s also a full-height bathroom. Everything reflects real-world experience and a deep understanding of how owners actually use their boats.

The Sea Ray SLX 360 OB is not only a cabin cruiser but also a bowrider. The bow seating area is not just a pair of loungers but a fully functional social space with two facing sofas and the option to install a table between them. In total, there are two полноценные lounging areas, allowing, for example, adults and kids to relax separately.

Standard power comes from three Mercury V8 outboards, with an upgrade available to V10 engines (350 or 425 hp) for those seeking even more performance.

A key option is the Fathom e-Power system. It supplies uninterrupted energy to essential onboard systems, including gyrostabilisers, an inverter-driven air conditioning system with cockpit heating, and a compressor for inflatables. While you enjoy nature in silence, the boat runs on energy stored in lithium-ion batteries charged while underway. The system provides 6–8 hours of operation. After that, a short engine run is enough to recharge. With Fathom e-Power, you’re no longer dependent on shore power or generators — allowing you to anchor overnight in complete silence, without exhaust fumes, and with improved fuel efficiency.

Sea Ray’s Quiet Ride technology reduces noise and vibration by nearly half. The hull and deck construction use advanced materials that convert vibrations into heat, which is then dissipated — all while maintaining structural strength. In simple terms: you can talk with friends without raising your voice, even at full speed. The boat can also be equipped with a Seakeeper 3 gyrostabiliser.

The Sea Ray SLX 360 OB is a boat for those who seek more than just a prestigious machine — it’s for people who embrace a lifestyle that is smart, technological, and free.
