The Monaco-based design studio of Stefano Pastrovich has unveiled the X-BRYCE explorer yacht concept, spanning 39 to 47 meters in length.
This innovative project is built on over 20 years of expertise in designing and refitting exploration vessels, including renowned yachts such as M/Y Zulu and M/Y Lady Jade. Architect and yacht designer Stefano Pastrovich developed the concept by carefully listening to the feedback and experiences of current yacht owners, incorporating their insights into the design and layout.
The design of X-BRYCE is centered around creating a unique sensory experience. Light, materials, spatial volumes, and seamless transitions between interior and exterior spaces come together to craft a special onboard atmosphere that engages all five senses.
The yacht’s name, X-BRYCE, draws inspiration from the majestic Bryce Canyon. “Bryce Canyon is one of the most awe-inspiring places I’ve ever explored,” says Stefano Pastrovich. “I wanted to capture that sense of freedom and vastness and translate it into a design that evokes the same emotions at sea.”
X-BRYCE is engineered with a steel hull and aluminum superstructure, ensuring durability and stability for long-range voyages in challenging conditions. The base version measures 39 meters in length, with a beam of 8.6 meters at the waterline and 9.6 meters at the main deck. It has a draft of 2.4 meters and a gross tonnage of approximately 460 GT.
The yacht is equipped with engines ranging from 800 to 1000 horsepower, delivering a top speed of 14 knots. Its cruising range and fuel efficiency are optimized for extended journeys, prioritizing comfort, stability, and practicality over sheer speed.
The interior of X-BRYCE is envisioned as a "loft on the sea," offering flexible and customizable spaces. In line with Pastrovich’s signature style, the furniture consists of movable elements, allowing owners to adapt the layout to their specific needs and preferences. This design approach ensures the yacht evolves with the owner’s lifestyle, making it ideal for long-term living onboard.
X-BRYCE is offered in two configurations:
