Heesen Grace: the marriage of hull and superstructure

Heesen Yachts announces a key milestone in the construction of YN 21350, Project Grace, with the joining of her hull and superstructure. Project Grace is the inaugural yacht in Heesen’s new 50-metre Steel class. The joining of the hull and superstructure marks the culmination of a week-long operation that began in Franeker, in the North of the country, at Talsma, Heesen's partner for steel hull fabrication. The hull was then transported via the country’s rivers and canals to Heesen’s shipyard in Oss. Upon arrival, Heesen’s engineering teams installed the main engines before completing the joining procedure. For the first time, Heesen has equipped a yacht with two MAN (IMO Tier III) engines, each delivering a maximum power of 882kW. The exterior is the work of the award-winning British studio Harrison Eidsgaard, which has translated the sporty aesthetic of Heesen’s aluminium yachts into a bold yet graceful steel form. Grace’s profile is not radical or extravagant but refined and timeless. Distinctive features, including sharp lines, low bulwarks, and full-height windows enhance the yacht’s connection to the sea, bringing natural light into the interiors. Harrison Eidsgaard are working with the shipyard's engineering team to further refine the layout and optimise the onboard flow. This process is intended to maximise lifestyle space for guests, while ensuring the crew have the optimal working environment to deliver a seamless experience. YN 21350, Project Grace is available for sale, with delivery scheduled for Q1 2028.
