Dock & Dine: Dubai welcomes yachts for dining and sightseeing

Dubai launches Dock & Dine — a program of short-term free docking at local marinas for yacht visits to restaurants and tourist attractions.
Dubai Maritime Authority (DMA), in collaboration with Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), has launched Dock & Dine — an initiative designed to enhance short-term yacht docking while offering visitors a unique culinary experience that transforms mooring into a vibrant and unforgettable journey. The program spans 20 premier marinas across the city.

A Unique Experience for Yachters and Tourists

Dock & Dine is tailored for yacht owners, their crews, and guests seeking a brief docking experience to enjoy the finest waterfront restaurants. The program provides direct access not only to dining establishments but also to luxury hotels, cultural landmarks, and entertainment venues — all accessible straight from the yacht.

Guests can sail from one marina to another, sampling diverse cuisines in picturesque settings, with all locations within 45 minutes to an hour of sailing. Key benefits of Dock & Dine include complimentary docking at participating marinas, quick booking confirmations within five minutes to an hour, the ability to directly reserve tables at restaurants, and dedicated marina staff ensuring smooth boarding and disembarking for guests.

Free docking is available for one to four hours, depending on the marina. Typically, docking requires yacht registration documents and insurance, but it’s recommended to confirm specific instructions with each marina.

Yachting Season and Culinary Tourism

Dock & Dine will be especially popular during Dubai’s peak winter season, from October to April, when the mild climate, calm waters, and packed event calendar attract tourists from around the globe. Dubai’s extensive marina network boasts over 4,000 berths, accommodating everything from small leisure boats to superyachts, making the city a prime destination for yachting and culinary tourism.

Participating Locations

The Dock & Dine program includes key marinas and marine stations across Dubai, including:
  • Al Seef Marina
  • Bulgari Marina
  • Creek Marina Yacht Club
  • Dubai Islands Marina

These locations form a unified network, allowing yachters to seamlessly explore different parts of the city while discovering new culinary and cultural experiences.
The program launch coincides with the growing global recognition of Dubai’s culinary scene, highlighted by the latest edition of the MICHELIN Guide Dubai, which features 119 restaurants this year.

Modern Infrastructure and Convenient Conditions for Yachts
Dock & Dine is part of Dubai’s long-term strategy to develop a modern maritime infrastructure. The city’s marinas offer a comprehensive range of services, including yacht repair and maintenance, specialized shops, wellness and spa centers. With its strategic location between East and West, streamlined entry procedures, and special visa packages, visiting yachts from other countries can stay in Dubai waters for up to six months, making the city one of the most convenient and attractive destinations for yachters worldwide.
