Emotional, After You: Damen delivers a duo of explorers
Damen Yachting has delivered two explorer vessels to their owner — the 60-meter Xplorer 60 yacht named After You and the 53-meter support vessel Emotional. Both vessels will be available for charter through one of the major brokerage companies as part of the owner’s ambitious circumnavigation plan. This means they will visit some of the most fascinating corners of the world’s oceans. The duo of explorer yachts can be seen at the upcoming Monaco Yacht Show.
After You is the first hull of the Xplorer 60 series, which was originally unveiled in September 2021 under the name SeaXplorer 60. The exterior design of the yacht was created by Azure Yacht Design and Naval Architecture, while its naval architecture was completed by Damen Yachting’s in-house team. The interiors were designed by British studio H2 Yacht Design. After You accommodates up to 12 guests and 17 crew members.
Its support vessel, the 53-meter Emotional, is the third unit in the Yacht Support (YS) series, following Five Oceans and Bad Company Support. Emotional enhances the capabilities of the main yacht by providing additional space for crew, storage for toys, helicopter operations, and cargo. The vessel’s gross tonnage is just under 500GT, and it has a maximum speed of 19 knots.
The construction of both vessels took place at Damen Yachting’s new production facilities in Antalya, Turkey. The yachts were launched for the first time in March this year. The Dutch shipyard is currently working on three more superyacht projects, the largest of which — a 75.2-meter vessel — is scheduled for delivery in 2026.
