Silent Yachts has completed its most complex project to date: the SY80 solar-electric catamaran. The Italian builder’s first SY80 is preparing for its world debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2025, scheduled for September 9-14. This unit has already been sold and is fully customised according to the owner’s preferences.
Measuring 24.38 metres, the SY80 incorporates sustainable features found on previous yachts, scaled up for a larger design. The yacht accommodates up to 12 guests and features craftsmanship characteristic of Italian design.
Layout Options
Owners can choose from three layout configurations:
- 2-Deck,
- 3-Deck Open,
- 3-Deck Closed.
Each option includes either an on-deck master suite or an open-plan saloon with the master cabin located on the lower deck.
A complete open third deck provides a total 84 m² of sky lounge space. The open sides create an outdoor ambience which offers a perfect mixture of sun and shade for relaxing owners and guests. Of course, the open third deck can be customized towards the owner´s needs.
Just as the 60 Series, the 80 Series can also be configured with a retractable roof. With 53 m² of space, the 2-deck version already offers plenty of room and is equipped with a dedicated helm station to steer the yacht while enjoying the 360° view.

The closed 3-deck version features an owner’s suite with a private 41 m² aft terrace. Those who value sharing their experiences on board can opt for an indoor lounge instead. It is comprised of a 39 m² dining area, fully equipped with a bar and galley, while still maintaining the same terrace in the aft.
The first SY80 is a 2-Deck version with four guest cabins, including master and VIP suites. The main deck includes social spaces such as a panoramic saloon, lounge areas, and a bar. The upper deck features sunbeds and a helm station with a 360-degree view.
The port-side hull includes a staircase that lifts to reveal a fully enclosed garage, while the starboard hull provides additional storage space for toys or diving equipment.
The SY80 is equipped with technology that enables cruising with minimal emissions. It has a top speed of 12 knots and cruises at 7-8 knots. The yacht has a battery capacity of 522 kWh / 696 kWh and a solar array with a peak output of 22.4 kWp.
Silent Yachts has also sold two SY80 units in the 3-Deck configuration.
