TPC Danzante Bay: golf with an ocean view

We've found possibly the most photogenic golf course on the planet. It is located on the shores of the Sea of Cortez in Mexico.
The world has its fair share of jaw-dropping golf courses, but TPC Danzante Bay in Mexico takes things to a whole new level—so much so that even seasoned golfers might find themselves questioning their priorities. Its 17th hole is so ridiculously photogenic that by the time you get there, you might forget your scorecard, your swing, and possibly even why you showed up in the first place.

This 175-yard masterpiece clings to the edge of a cliff like it’s auditioning for a travel magazine. It’s practically begging to be instagrammed, with the Sea of Cortez providing a backdrop so stunning it feels like a Photoshop job. The real challenge, though, isn’t just the view—it’s the wind, which has a habit of turning your carefully planned shot into an impromptu physics experiment. But honestly, who cares? Even if your ball ends up swimming with the fish, you’ll still be grinning like a fool—this place is that gorgeous.

And it’s not just the 17th hole stealing the show. Designed by the legendary Rees Jones, this course takes you on a scenic rollercoaster ride through canyons, dunes, and the base of mountains. Golf here isn’t just a sport; it’s an epic, slow-paced adventure with a healthy dose of adrenaline. The front nine will lull you into a hypnotic trance with its beauty, while the back nine cranks up the drama with holes that teeter on the edge of the sea.

TPC Danzante Bay isn’t just about golf, either. It’s nestled in Loreto National Marine Park, affectionately dubbed the “Mexican Galapagos.” Here, you can bump into dolphins, rays, and even whales, try your hand at fishing, or explore the surrounding islands. And if that’s not enough, cap off your day with some night paddleboarding on glow-in-the-dark boards—because why not?
