Akhir is the Arabic name for the brightest star in the Eridanus constellation. The shipyard has long followed the tradition of naming its yacht lines after stars from this constellation, the sixth largest in the night sky. Although the last Akhir yacht was launched more than 20 years ago, the line remains iconic among enthusiasts and has even achieved cult status. At Cantieri di Pisa, Akhir is considered a brand within a brand.
The revival of this legendary series will begin with a single model—the Akhir 44. Several distinctive features of the renowned line have been preserved, including the elegant lines of the pilothouse, striped windows along the hull, shark-inspired decorative elements on the bow, horizontal grille-style air intakes, and the signature black-and-white livery. The 44 model will feature a hull and superstructure made from composite carbon fibre using vacuum infusion technology. Among the new additions are a sleek hardtop over the sundeck and streamlined, aerodynamic forms.
