Aristocrats never have to pretend. They simply are who they are, living and breathing elegance. This very feeling arises aboard the new Ferretti Yachts 940. From the first hours on board, you find yourself in your element, thanks not only to the impressive size and spaciousness of this new model but also to its innovative spirit. Debuting at the autumn boat shows in Cannes and Monaco, this yacht promises to be a triumph for the shipyard. Monumentality blends seamlessly with dynamism, while functionality merges with flexibility, adapting to any lifestyle or whim of the owner.
The yacht's grand dimensions provided designers Filippo Salvetti (exterior) and Ideaeitalia (interior) with the perfect canvas to unleash their creativity. The brand's new visual language tells a captivating Italian story. On this vast white canvas, sleek lines inspired by Italian sports cars unfold. Glossy surfaces reflect the picturesque landscapes of Tuscany, Liguria, Sardinia, and other gems of the Italian coastline. The interior immerses you in an atmosphere of hospitality and effortless elegance, for which Italian gentlemen are so renowned.
As your gaze glides over the broad horizontal lines of the decks, the yacht reveals its grace. The Ferretti Yachts 940 embodies a trinity of dynamism, airy lightness, and harmony with the sea. Panoramic windows and a refined play of colors in the interior combine to create a unique contemporary style.
It seems the ideal choice for unforgettable marine adventures with family and friends has been found. Drawing inspiration from the FY 920 and enriched with cutting-edge solutions from recent models, this new yacht represents a harmonious blend of design and comfort. It offers space for celebrations, relaxation with company, and limitless enjoyment of nature.
The flybridge, spanning 50 square meters, offers ample space for everyone. Stretching across nearly two-thirds of the hull, it is equipped with everything one could desire. At the front, there's an open-air helm station, adjacent to a dining area that comfortably seats nine. The central and aft sections are dedicated to relaxation, featuring furniture from top Italian designers. Chairs and sofas by Talenti invite you to sit back and forget everything. Opposite is a pristine galley with a bar counter and elegant Minotti stools. The aft area can be customized to your liking, accommodating Talenti sun loungers or Minotti low tables to create the perfect spot for serene outdoor relaxation.
Despite its size, the flybridge avoids appearing bulky. Salvetti achieved this by placing a tall carbon hardtop on elegant supports in the center. The roof can be fitted with adjustable blinds if desired.
The spacious 32-meter cockpit on the main deck is well-shielded from the sun and weather by the flybridge overhang. A large table is surrounded by two deep, soft sofas, making it the perfect spot for heartfelt conversations. A glass partition separates the cockpit from the swim platform, maintaining the sense of a unified space — nothing obstructs the view of the water as you recline on a sun lounger.
The transom cleverly integrates garage doors providing access to a tender up to 4.1 meters in length. Launching it is effortless thanks to a special mechanism that gently lowers the swim platform into the water.
The main salon, spanning nearly 30 square meters, is accessed from the cockpit through large sliding glass doors. It is designed in warm natural tones as part of the Classic Mood concept (an alternative option is the cooler Contemporary Mood). The lounge area is a spacious setting with a large corner Minotti sofa positioned opposite a cabinet with a retractable TV. Beyond the standard configuration, there are additional options: a second sofa or storage system can be placed along the starboard side. In both cases, the TV discreetly hides within a wall niche.
Adjacent to the lounge is the dining area, featuring a Bonaldo Art table for eight, topped with bronze glass — the perfect setting for a formal dinner. Floor-to-ceiling windows offer breathtaking panoramic views. Guests will enjoy engaging in dinner conversations while admiring the evening lights of coastal towns.
The galley, equipped with state-of-the-art appliances, offers ample storage for food and beverages. It has exits to the salon and port side, ensuring stewards can efficiently serve guests in both indoor and outdoor spaces.
At the bow of the main deck lies the master suite — a luxurious 27 square meters, impressive even for larger yachts. The raised wheelhouse allowed additional space to be allocated for a wardrobe. The owner's apartment is arranged so that you first enter a small foyer with a wardrobe, then descend a couple of steps into the bedroom. Two levels and high ceilings evoke the feel of superyachts over 30 meters long. The full-beam bedroom centers around a king-size bed with a high leather headboard. To starboard, there's a cozy corner sofa and vanity table, while to port, a spacious built-in cabinet offers storage. The materials used exude luxury, such as Silver Roots marble with a noble blend of gray, brown, and white veins on a silver-smoky background. Its surface appears to ripple with gentle waves, creating a unique pattern. Behind a large mirror covering half the front wall lies a marble-finished bathroom. The polished wood with intricate textures adds to the refined aesthetic.
Above the master suite, in front of the seamless windshield of the wheelhouse, is a cleverly zoned foredeck. It features a large sun lounger for lazy sunbathing and a semi-circular sofa with a teak coffee table — perfect for placing a phone, hat, sunglasses, a chilled cocktail, or morning cappuccino. A stylish canopy shields this part of the yacht from the scorching sun.
The lower deck has been redesigned compared to the Ferretti Yachts 920. Previously, guest cabins were separated by a corridor; now, a lobby connects the doors of three luxurious VIP rooms and one cozy cabin with twin beds. Each has a spacious bathroom and ample storage, ensuring privacy and a homely feel.
The bow section of the yacht is dedicated to the crew, with every detail thoughtfully designed for convenience and efficiency: a comfortable dining area, captain's cabin, and a twin crew cabin, each with its own bathroom and shower. If needed, the captain's cabin can be converted into a twin cabin, accommodating up to four crew members.
The first hull is equipped with two MAN V12 engines, each delivering 2,000 horsepower. This configuration allows the yacht to reach a maximum speed of 25 knots and a cruising speed of 21 knots. A more powerful option with 2,200-horsepower MAN engines is available, adding an extra 2 knots to the speed. Stabilization systems are also available upon request. We recommend adding this option to transform the yacht into a true home on water, unaffected by any waves.
