A diverse benchmark

If a combination of power and style could be measured, the units would be called «wally». Making its debut in the Middle East at the Dubai Boat Show, the top-spec wallytender48X stands as the ultimate symbol of luxury and speed.

If true luxury could be defined, it would surely consist of thoughtful design, elegant lines, and flawless execution. The Wallytender line embodies these principles, offering a sanctuary of beauty and comfort for those demanding the very best.

This carbon-fibre cruiser deserves a setting to match its sophistication—a stunning seascape, a waterfront restaurant with a private dock, or a quiet escape from the soft evening lights of a promenade into the mysterious darkness of the night. The Wallytender is designed to savour every moment on the water, embracing freedom and effortless elegance. Alternatively, it can serve as the perfect tender for a fully custom superyacht with a sleek, ultramodern exterior. But to be honest, this is a boat you’d rather captain yourself than hire a skipper for. The Wallytender48X is for individualists.

Luca Bassani, the founder of Wally, began his journey with sailboats, and his love for the sea is evident in every detail of the 48X. It’s for those who crave a connection with the elements. Just as fencers call the sword an extension of the hand, the helm of this boat is an extension of the captain’s arms.

The translation of deck layouts and aesthetics of sailboats into motor yachts has been widely adopted and has become a common trend. But Wallytender, in any size, remains the original—the work of a genius that others aspire to emulate. The question is, will you choose the authentic masterpiece or settle for an imitation, no matter how well executed? If you’re not just looking for a boat but want to be part of a legend and an exclusive circle, the Wallytender48X will leave you captivated.

The Wallytender48X offers an expansive sunbed across the entire width of the aft deck—an ideal spot to relax with a cocktail in hand. When the sun gets too intense, the bimini shade provides welcome relief. Want to feel like you’re on your private beach? Lower the side sections of the deck, and voilà—your personal oasis at the water’s edge.

In the cockpit, the seating is versatile, rotating to face forward while underway or aft toward the dining area. Whether it’s an exhilarating cruise or a tranquil moment at anchor, you’ll find yourself savouring every second.

A large folding table at the centre of the cockpit is surrounded by two sofas, comfortably seating 8–10 guests—perfect for dining on the water, as if aboard a superyacht. And if the Wallytender is your chaseboat, simply load up provisions and enjoy an unforgettable picnic.

Next to the dining area is a stylish bar equipped with a grill, sink, and refrigerator, all finished in gleaming materials. Compact yet highly functional, it’s designed to keep everything you need at your fingertips for preparing gourmet meals or refreshing drinks. Whether it’s a quick breakfast or a reheated dinner, you won’t even need to step ashore.

At the heart of the cruiser is the central console, featuring a stunning carbon-fibre helm and an advanced Simrad navigation system with dual 16-inch displays, radar, and sonar. The intuitive and straightforward controls make piloting a breeze. Beside the captain’s chair, two ergonomic seats are perfect for passengers who enjoy watching the boat slice through the waves.

The three-sided glass windscreen, sharp as a crystal, shields the helm from the elements, while the clean, uncompromising lines are unmistakably Wally.

The bow is dominated by another expansive sunbed, inviting one to relax and enjoy the sea breeze. Just ahead, a hatch conceals the anchor system, which can be deployed at the touch of a button on the control panel.

Wallytender48X is equipped with a Sonus Faber premium audio system, delivering crystal-clear sound to enhance your time on the water.

Descending to the lower deck via carbon-fibre steps with cool-to-the-touch handrails, you’ll discover a surprisingly spacious, bright, and stylish cabin—like a miniature apartment. With ceilings over 190 cm, the space feels open and airy. The interior is finished in soothing tones: teak walls, dark carbon floors, and a light ceiling with a skylight that floods the space with natural light. Strategically placed mirrors enhance the sense of space and brightness.

A large double bed invites you to spend a night away from shore, while ample storage ensures everything has its place. To port, there’s a compact yet fully equipped bathroom with a tropical shower—pure bliss after a swim in the salty sea. All surfaces are easy to clean, a practical touch for maritime adventures.

At the Dubai International Boat Show, Wally unveiled the Wallytender48X in its top-of-the-line configuration. Gleaming under the Arabian sun, four brand-new 450-horsepower Mercury Racing outboard engines were mounted on the transom. Combined with Wally and Ferretti Group’s impeccable hull design and lightweight carbon-fibre construction, the result is nothing short of extraordinary.

Sea trials confirmed a top speed of 54 knots with remarkably low fuel consumption. At a cruising speed of 36 knots, the boat effortlessly covers 340 nautical miles. The space saved by eliminating an inboard engine has been cleverly utilised to add a large storage compartment at the stern and double the fuel tank capacity.

Another advantage of outboards is the reduced draught. When tilted up, the draught decreases to just 70 cm, allowing for carefree navigation in shallow coastal waters. The engines are arranged in two pairs, maximising space on the swim platform and leaving room for a retractable hydraulic gangway. This elegant feature doubles as a swim ladder and comes standard—how convenient!

With its outstanding features, the Wallytender48X is perfectly suited to the dynamic lifestyle of discerning yacht owners in the Middle East and beyond. Whether for day trips or extended cruises, it offers unparalleled comfort and unforgettable experiences—even in the sweltering heat and humidity of the Gulf’s summer.

For those seeking a stylish, fast, and comfortable boat for leisure on the water, the Wallytender48X is the ultimate choice. It combines cutting-edge technology, luxurious design, and exceptional performance in one breathtaking package.
