Electric power for Saxdor

Finnish boats to become quieter and safer with the Fathom e-Power system.
The Fathom e-Power system, developed by Navico, manages a boat's auxiliary systems, including gyrostabilizers, an inverter air conditioning system with a cockpit heating function, and a compressor for inflatable water sports equipment.

While you enjoy the tranquil environment, the boat draws power from lithium-ion batteries that are charged during motion. The Fathom e-Power system provides 6–8 hours of operation before requiring a brief engine run to recharge. With Fathom e-Power, the boat operates with significantly less noise and fuel consumption. This system has been successfully implemented on the Sea Ray 400 SLX bowrider.

The Finnish brand was the first outside the U.S. to adopt this technology, installing it on the updated Saxdor 400 GTC, which is equipped with twin Mercury Verado V10 outboards, each producing 400 horsepower. Together, the engines generate up to 12 kW of power, which is transferred to 48-volt Mastervolt lithium batteries. The system integrates digital controls, load management, and monitoring capabilities to supply power to onboard devices without the noise, vibration, or emissions of a traditional genset.
