Joal: the 4th Hoek Design TC 90 is launched
A brand new Hoek Design Truly Classic 90 has been launched in Nieuwegein by Shipborn, a new yard developed by the owner who had her built.
Joal is the fourth yacht built to the TC 90 Design following Atalante, Kealoha, and Acadia. Her interior layout has a very open-plan custom layout, quite different from the other 3 yachts built to this design.
The aluminium hull has been built by Bloemsma Aluminium bouw in Makkum, Spars are by Hall Spars Breskens and outfitting and technical engineering was done by Shipborn in Nieuwegein.
The yacht has many innovating new features, such as a hybrid propulsion package with a Volvo main engine and electrical backup propulsion with a lithium battery pack.
Apart from that, she has a hydraulically operated stern boarding ladder and side boarding platform where the side boarding ladder comes out of the boarding platform, a quite unique feature.
