Irreplaceable

Before the autumn boat shows, Overmarine piqued our curiosity by releasing a teaser video of the new Mangusta Oceano 52, accompanied by the tagline "a deck above the rest." You might think this refers to an additional tier of superstructure, but that’s not the case.

The focus is actually on the location of the master suite. Designer Alberto Mancini has thoughtfully placed it on the upper deck for the most straightforward and logical reasons: visibility and privacy. Imagine starting your day in a spacious, sun-drenched bedroom with floor-to-ceiling windows offering a three-way view, savoring the aroma of a hot espresso on a secluded terrace, enjoying the elevation, and refreshing yourself in your own private pool. (The Mangusta Signature landscape pool is set to be positioned in front of the owner's suite.) A staircase from this personalized deck leads down to a patio lounge on the main deck, which can be easily customized to your liking. The shipyard even suggests adding exercise equipment here. Typically, superyachts have their gyms located in the beach club, but that can be quite a distance from the master suite, can't it?

Don’t assume that the clients of the Oceano 52 are solely focused on their own luxurious experiences; they also consider their friends and charter guests. Forward on the main deck, where most superyachts feature the master suite, there are two comfortable VIP cabins with excellent views. Additionally, four guest cabins are located on the lower deck.

Mancini adheres to his vision that a yacht should resemble a modern Miami villa with expansive glazing. In each of his designs, he strives to blur the lines between indoor spaces and the surrounding environment. The new model incorporates design elements seen in the Mangusta Oceano 39 and 44, featuring an abundance of transparent partitions and bulwarks, frameless handrails, and sliding glass walls.

The folding bulwarks on the sides of the bathing platform are impressively large, creating a vast outdoor beach club around the main pool, which is flush with the swim platform.

The Oceano 52 is powered by two MTU engines, enabling her to reach a top speed of approximately 16 knots. At half load, she can cover a distance of 4,500 nautical miles. The first hull is currently under construction at the Overmarine shipyard in Pisa.
